Part 2

Then in 2000, we were invited by Singapore’s Vasantham Central, to produce Deepanjali, the MILENNIUM COUNTDOWN for the Diwali festival. We demurred, not being the sort to do a song and dance. But we took the plunge, and
some months later, added Vasantham’s BEST VARIETY AWARD to our trophy cabinet.

About that time, we realized that crime does pay. For our maiden foray outside the Singapore channels, The Right Angle produced a film on forensic investigations into one of Singapore’s most gruesome murders. The body
parts murder became a CRIME NIGHT SPECIAL on DISCOVERY CHANNEL.

Then there’s MAKANSUTRA, a food adventure with hawkers from hell and flavours from heavens. This mouthwatering series has raised eyebrows for its irreverent humour and illicit forays into Singlish, the much loved, but equally maligned Singapore version of English. But that didn’t bother the judges at
the NEW YORK FESTIVALS who presented the show with a finalist certificate.

But it doesn’t stop there. We’ve taken our ideas and put them to work in
the CORPORATE world as well. And we found that clients such as Novartis,
the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore(IDA), SAP, the National Institute of Education and the Singapore Tourism Board quite like the idea. Recently a public relations video for IDA also earned itself a finalist
certificate at the NEW YORK FESTIVALS.
